Desiccated Coconut (DC) – sometimes referred to as Coconut Powder, is a dehydrated form of granulated white coconut meat from selected mature fresh coconut kernel (the white flesh inside coconuts). It is white in color, free flowing, and available in both organic and conventional forms. Desiccated Coconut is perfect for use by various industries that require the natural exotic taste of coconut.
Desiccated Coconut High Fat Fine Grade is a grade of desiccated coconut where 100% passes through a 1.7 mm sieve and not more than 15% remains on a 1.4 mm sieve.
Desiccated Coconut High Fat Medium Grade is a grade of desiccated coconut where 100% passes through a 2.8 mm sieve and not more than 2.5% passes through a 1.0 mm sieve.
In addition to Fine and Medium Grades, Desiccated Coconut is also available in a variety of Fancy Cuts such as Chips, Flakes, Threads and Shreds. Desiccated Coconut Fancy Cuts are perfect as confectionery toppings and as breakfast cereal enhancers.
Toasted and Sweetened versions of Fancy Cuts with their crunchy coconut flavor are great as snacks.
